On the cover of a magazine: Bermudian model Rhiannon Higgins is featured in the latest edition of Poza
A student from Bermuda’s modeling career took off after she was chosen for a magazine cover photoshoot.
Rhiannon Higgins, 19, will appear on the cover of the next edition of Pozaa fashion and style magazine.
Ms Higgins, who is currently studying business at Humber College in Toronto, described her latest posting as “a milestone”.
She said: ‘It still hasn’t sunk yet. I think when I get my hands on the hard copy, I’ll dive into it. I am very proud and enthusiastic about this springboard.
“I dreamed of being on a blanket, so it’s very surreal.”
The Bermuda High School alum started modeling on the island in 2019, working with photographer Brandon Morrison and local brands such as 1609, BDA Watersports and Factor Bermuda.
The move to Toronto ignited his career. She was hired by several modeling agencies, including Dulcedo Management.
The Poza the cover shoot represents a breakthrough in Ms. Higgins’ career and job offers begin to pour in.
She said: “I am very grateful for the opportunity and the exposure it has given me. This is my first magazine cover, but definitely not the last.
Ms Higgins appeared in a broadcast for Wedluxe wedding magazine earlier this month and has other magazine assignments coming out in the fall.
She said: “I’m also in an upcoming parade, that’s where this whole journey started.
“I stay focused and take every opportunity that comes my way. I worked hard for this and it’s well deserved, but I’m so grateful for all the support my family and friends have given me. It makes things much easier.
